The Art of Influence

There are many different ways to attempt to persuade someone into buying.  Our module dissects some of the key components of influence and applies them to a sales environment.

The key elements of persuading someone are the abilities to:

  • Offer something in return

  • Provide uniqueness in your product or service

  • Have control over buying decisions

  • Offer security in the decision

  • Document customer satisfaction

  • Present yourself as your customer

  • Build a “trust language”

All of these have a place in a sales presentation.  Each one is in fact, a tool of persuasion that if used properly, has a tremendous effect on your ability to sell more.  Here are some of the more popular uses you may have heard before:

  • “Hurry in to your local dealer now! Deals like this don’t last.”

  • “You’re going to like the way you look. I guarantee it.”

  • “Four out of five dentists surveyed recommended sugarless gum to their patients who chew gum.”

  • “The only the bathroom cleaner you’ll ever need.”

  • “I’m not only the President, I’m also a member.”

Any of those sound familiar?  We go into great detail explaining each persuasion tool, and give plenty of examples on how you can use them.  Much of the material you may already be utilizing and not even know it.  That’s the gift that this module brings, persuasive content with a practical everyday application.
